Skin cancers are

 

1. Basal cell carcinomas
2. Squamous cell carcinomas

 

The treatment of them is usually with surgery, although sometimes topical cream can be used such as 5FU. This is so particularly if there are some pre-cancerous changes on the face.

Treatment can be with simple excision. If lumps are larger they may need some grafting to repair the excision defect (from where the cancer has come from).

Sometimes a second operation is needed to reexcise the area, if the excision was not complete after the first operation. 

 

3.  The third type of skin cancer is Malignant melanoma.

 

These are alot more aggressive that the other two types of skin cancers above. Surgery is again the best treatment. In this case a wide and deep margin of excision is required, as well as very close follow up the
